AlAhli Arabic

AlAhli Arabic is a custom design for the Saudi football team. It is a display geometric typeface for titles conceived to accompany a Latin font designed by Alberto Romanos from Branding with Type. In its construction, it explores variations in glyph forms inspired by the abstract Kufic script, developed to reach an original solution supporting brand recognition. The contemporary design is further enhanced by the proportions of a condensed style with smooth curves and sharp ends. Conceptually, it aims to carry the qualities of strength and agility at the core of the sport. The technical development was achieved by Ferran Milan and Pilar Cano from Letterjuice.
